Self-destructive Email

Are you sick & tired of those n-number of email forwards ?? Need your way to weed-through all the junk mails w/out ever bothering to delete those mails periodically ??
Here is the solution. A post on WSJ discusses about the “new” generation e-mail, which will come with a time-line. After the time ends this email would just delete itself, so you can enjoy the clutter-free mail-box.
Here’s what the article says -
Another new service, Kablooey Mail, allows consumers to send “self-destructing” emails that can be viewed for only a limited time, which may appeal to people who don’t want a record of their correspondence. The free service, which made its debut in July, lets individuals log on to Kablooey’s site to compose a message and set an expiration time, which can range from 10 seconds to two weeks after the message is opened. (Senders can also elect to have the message not expire.) A copy of the message is saved in the sender’s account, where it can be reviewed by the sender later, or deleted altogether for extra security.
The email is sent from the Web site, but appears as though it is coming from the sender’s personal email address, such as an Outlook account. It shows up in the recipient’s inbox with a link to a Web site with the message’s content as well as a timer that shows how long before the message expires. A recipient is instructed to use only the up/down arrow keys or scroll bar to read the message; any other keystroke causes the message to expire instantly, which removes the message from the screen and prevents the recipient from accessing it again.

How to crash Internet Explorer ?
This web-page shows exactly HOW u can crash Internet-Explorer. Do not worry though, it will do no harm to your machine. This is just to show how vulnerable & ill-coded Internet explorer is.
The author claims, that he wrote the script, which involves Javascript, to test thins on IE & FireFox. He discovered this small script (61 bytes), could make IE bite the dust.
I personally tried it, it rendered just fine on Opera & FireFox. But IE (as expected) crashed. Here’s the screen-shot -

Time to trash IE & move to FireFox or Better still, Opera ?? I think so, coz i dumped IE years ago & never looked back.

Why you can’t block Skype ?
By trying to ban VoIP, Middle East telcos such as the UAE’s Etisalat
have effectively cut themselves out of the game. There are already tens
of thousands of people using Skype and similar applications in the UAE
alone. Skype.com is blocked, but people download the installer in the
freezones. They get it from general software download sites. They get
it via P2P. They get friends and family to email it to them. They get
it on their laptop while overseas.
Despite the ban, the application works, because once installed, Skype
is almost impossible to block. It uses encrypted tunnels, file
transfers and instant messaging sessions, all of which are undetectable
without filtering.

Brightnets, a brilliant alternative to hiding on Darknets
The Owner-Free Filing system has often been
described as the first brightnet; A distributed system where no one
breaks the law, so no one need hide in the dark.
OFF is a highly connected peer-to-peer distributed
file system. The unique feature of this system is that it stores all of
its internal data in a multi-use randomized block format. In other
words there is not a one to one mapping between a stored block and its
use in a retrieved file. Each stored block is simultaneously used as a
part of many different files. Individually, however, each block is
nothing but arbitrary digital white noise.
Yeah…yeah….i know, u must b left dumb-founded (i like to consider u r just like me). But in-case u r wondering HOW On earth it is possible ?

5 Steps To Being More Photogenic

Not everyone feels comfortable having their picture taken. Unless you attended modeling school or took a ‘how to be more photogenic‘ class in junior high, high school, or college chances are when find yourself in front of a camera you end up, ‘winging it,’ which doesn’t always work out in your favor.
So the question is, why do some people always seem to look good in pictures?
Truth is, some people have a triggered response when they are in front of a camera. They do certain things that make them look better. You can also develop a triggered response that makes YOU look better.
Here’s HOW - http://www.digitalcamerau.com/category/basics/
Turn Your Cell Phone Into a Bluetooth Mouse
The developer expands into the project and provides just enough detail to give you a full understanding behind the technicality of the project, and yet not revealing key information. He’s not planning to release this Java code, as he is attempting to develop a Bluetooth HID before the final release.

I can already see cell phone makers including this mouse-in-phone feature in their cell phones as a commercial feature in the near future. It’s quite a feasible idea.

Everyone loves Warren Buffett. More important, everyone wants to be rich like Warren Buffett, me included. So, in the first installment of this 29-part series, I am combing through all of Warren Buffett’s annual Letters to Shareholders of Berkshire Hathaway. Today I analyze 1977 to see what secrets Buffett knew way back when.
